Our chefs visit Amlapura morning market every day to gather the produce for our menu. Help carry the shopping! Sample some produce and absorb some real Balinese action in the hustle and bustle of the market.
Return to Bali Asli and learn how to prepare traditional flower offerings, “canang” before cooking your lunch using traditional equipment and techniques.

Step through the looking glass
Our trekking guide will take you “through the looking glass” up into the village of Pangi, where you will have the opportunity to peak into the daily life of the Balinese. As well as enjoying stunning views over rice fields, ocean and volcanoes.
Have morning tea and learn about the ancient art of the Balinese “Aksara” script in the village cultural learning centre and Lontar museum, before wandering through the rice fields back to Bali Asli to cook your traditional Balinese lunch.

Ignite your passion for natural Balinese remedies.
We will introduce you to many of the traditional plants and spices, discover their medicinal as well as the magical qualities, as together will make a selection of “Jamu” or medicinal potions to sample.
Enjoy the magnificent view with some home-fermented fruit ciders, juices or beers, And perhaps stay for lunch.

Immerse yourself in Balinese culture, walk through the villages to Dukuh Lontar centre. learn how to make your own lontar, etched palm leaf, to take home whilst listening to traditional “Geguritan” story songs.
Enjoy dressing up and learning classic dance moves with local young performers.
Savour home-roasted coffee, Indonesian tea, and Karangasem sweets before returning to Bali Asli, or continue your cultural journey with a visit to the night market.

Enjoy a full day of exploration in a vintage Volkswagen safari convertible as you visit Amlapura’s royal palace, the Dukuh village cultural center, and an artisan incense maker.
Discover the ancient art of Lontar etching, sip Balinese coffee, and wander through the stunning water gardens of Tirta Gangga and Taman Ujung.
After a scenic journey through villages and rice fields, return to Bali Asli for a well-earned Balinese lunch.

An early bird catches the sun!
Start your day at 4.00am with an unforgettable sunrise journey up Lempuyang mountain in a convertible 4WD.
Enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast as the sun rises over the sea and illuminates Mount Rinjani in the distance.
Continue to Amed for refreshing snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, then end your adventure with a traditional Megibung feast at Bali Asli.

Eat dinner with the locals
Begin your evening at Bali Asli with homemade cider and local snacks as the sun sets over Mount Agung, then head to Amlapura’s vibrant night market.
Explore diverse street stalls and taste authentic Eastern Balinese dishes in a lively, local atmosphere.
This guided culinary journey offers a safe and delicious way to enjoy true Balinese street food.

So much more than just a hike in the jungle.
Embark on a spiritual hike to Lempuyang Temple, one of Bali’s highest and most sacred sites, reached after a scenic 2.5-hour trek through misty forests and lush mountain paths.
Enjoy breathtaking views of Karangasem Valley and Mount Agung before receiving a traditional holy water blessing.
Descend via 1,700 historic steps, then unwind with a well-earned Megibung lunch at Bali Asli.
